Megan Thee Stallion has launched a website that provides mental health resources.

The 27-year-old rap star offers links to free therapy organizations through his new platform BadBitchesHaveBadDays.com, which takes its name from a lyric in his 2022 single “Anxiety.”

In a post shared on the website, Megan wrote: “Hotties! You know what mental wellness means to me, so I’ve created a hub with resources that can help you when you might need help. a helping hand. Go to http://badbitcheshavebaddaystoo.com now and check it out. I love you so much.”

A user named Shea Jordan Smith wrote on Twitter, “Megan @theestallion has created a website that compiles a list of various mental health resources and sends it to her fans and followers. Real sexy girl s***. “

The post was noted by the “Hot Girl Summer” hitmaker herself, who retweeted it to her 7.6 million followers.

The website has a list of free therapy organizations, as well as a national crisis text line and a suicide prevention and crisis helpline.

In 2021, the “Sweetest Pie” rapper explained that choosing to go to therapy to improve her mental health issues was becoming more and more the norm, and the notion of going to therapy was starting to be portrayed in a positive light.

She said: “As a black person, and when you think of therapy, you think of ‘Oh my God, I’m weak’, you think of drugs and you just think of the worst. ‘It’s kind of that that you see on TV too; like, therapy hasn’t even been portrayed in the media as something good. Now it’s becoming safe to say, ‘Okay, there’s a little too much going on. Someone help me.”

  • UK fines Super Group’s Betway for breaking marketing rules
  • Betway says the incident was due to a technical error

LONDON, Sept 21 (Reuters) – British authorities on Wednesday fined online gambling group Betway around 400,000 pounds ($453,280) for marketing on the children’s section of a football club, an error that the company attributed to a technical problem.

The Gambling Commission said it found Betway’s gambling logo, linked to its website, on a section of the West Ham United club’s website offering children the chance to print out a coloring teddy bear, for a period between April 2020 and November 2021.

“While there is no suggestion that the operator was deliberately targeting children or that children were allowed to play, we take the violation of any rules aimed at protecting children very seriously,” said Leanne Oxley. , Director of Enforcement for the Gaming Commission.

The commission also found a similar Betway logo on the “Young Hammers at Home” website between October and November last year. His total penalty for Betway is 408,915 pounds.

“We have taken immediate action to have him removed. Nonetheless, we accept the fine and will continue to work closely with the Club to ensure this does not happen again,” Super Group-owned Betway said ( SGHC.N), in a statement. .

Britain has tightened gambling rules since the early 2000s, placing more emphasis on betting via digital channels, especially as coronavirus lockdowns have led to an increase in online activity.

The government is also expected to publish a white paper – a proposal for future legislation – on gambling regulation.

A ban on gambling ads featuring celebrities, sportspeople and social media influencers popular with children will come into effect next month.

Manchester United’s Cristiano Ronaldo and former Chelsea manager Jose Mourinho have previously appeared in gambling adverts.

Betway, founded in 2006, offers sports betting and casino entertainment services and has licenses throughout Europe, the Americas and Africa.

Cavs recruiting website makes life easier for college scouts

Posted at 4:28 p.m. on Friday, September 16, 2022

Callaway football is one step ahead of its peers when it comes to recruiting its players. Launched a month ago, the Cavs Recruits website is giving Cavalier players exposure they didn’t have before.

“Everyone sends an Excel sheet with prospects to all these colleges, and you just have to hope your guys stand out on paper,” said Andrew Caraway, Callaway’s recruiting coordinator. “We wanted a way to differentiate our guys from the rest of the people who send in recruiting sheets. We wanted to make it interactive.

The webpage is constantly adding players from the Cavaliers team with a view to eventually having all the players who want to play college on the website. At present, it consists of upper classes. Individual players each have their own “map” that you can click on. In each player’s card, there are measurable elements such as height, weight, bench, 40-meter running time, etc.

There is also a section for each player to put GPA, SAT and ACT scores, which are very important when recruiting.

“A school like Wake Forest recruits nationally, and it can be difficult to get major college football players with the college football we need,” said Dave Cohen, defensive line coach at Wake Forest. ” Hurry up. Having a website where we can delve into the inner workings of the guys we should be watching makes my life so much easier.

The website also offers a quick way to contact the coach and even the athlete. What might be most important is the inclusion of links to Hudl, which contains highlights for each athlete.

“I actually started this plan this summer,” Caraway said. “I reached out to some top level coaches that I really respect. I reached out and asked ‘how would you like something like that?’ The overwhelming response was “that’s awesome, and it really makes my job easier.”

The recruiting landscape has changed dramatically over the past few decades. The internet age has changed so much in the way coaches and college scouts recruit.

“It can be harder to recruit (in the internet age),” Cohen said. “There are no more secrets. It used to be that you could get people to work, but now everyone is so aware of social media and everything. Most people know where the good players are. News travels fast.

Caraway is in tune with the times. He also created digital business cards for gamers. So when coaches scan a QR code, it sends them directly to the player’s profile on the website.

While 3-5 star recruits who come through Callaway won’t have a hard time being recruited, not everyone has that luxury. The Cavs Recruit website helps bolster the platform of some lesser-known players going through the Cavaliers program.

“We just want to get the names of the players out there,” Caraway said. “We hope this will help coaches assess our children and hopefully lead to scholarship opportunities.”

None of this happens without Caraway. Since his re-involvement in the program in 2020 — he graduated from Callaway in 2007 — he’s bolstered the Cavaliers’ ability to be recruited by colleges big and small.

“He makes himself available and he loves this program,” Cohen said. “He’s great with information, but he’s also very honest about who is the right fit for your school.”

The next step for the website: expansion.

“We film every play on Friday nights, and we want to have something other than your standard film on Hudl,” Caraway said. “We want to add real footage from the sidelines so you can really see how big a player is or how fast they are. Incorporate life highlights so coaches can log into the website and see what individual players have been up to.

The NATO military alliance said it would support Ukraine in its fight against Russia “for as long as it takes” after Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelenskiy stepped up calls for Western sanctions against Moscow in following the discovery of a mass burial site in a city once occupied by the Russians. forces.

Live briefing: Russia’s invasion of Ukraine

RFE/RL Live briefing gives you all the latest developments on the ongoing invasion of Russia, how Kyiv is fighting back, Western military aid, the global response and the plight of civilians. For all of RFE/RL’s coverage of the war, click here.

Chairman of NATO’s military committee, Admiral Rob Bauer, said on September 17 that Western military aid was making a crucial difference as Ukraine waged a powerful counteroffensive to retake occupied lands in the east and south of the country.

“The ammunition, equipment and training that allies and other nations provide are all making a real difference on the battlefield,” he told a meeting in Tallinn.

“With its successes on the ground and online, Ukraine has fundamentally changed modern warfare,” he added, citing military and civilian actions.

Bauer said NATO would support Ukraine “as long as it takes. Winter is coming but our support will remain unwavering.”

The reaffirmation of his support came as Zelenskiy called on the world community to condemn Russia’s ‘terrorist state’ following the discovery of a mass burial site and evidence of torture in Izyum days after the resumption of the city to Russia.

Speaking in his nightly video address on September 16, Zelenskiy said Russia should be punished with tougher sanctions.

“There is already clear evidence of torture, humiliating treatment of people. In addition, there is evidence that Russian soldiers, whose positions were not far from this place, shot at the buried just for fun “, did he declare.

Zelenskiy compared the discoveries made in Izyum this week with the Bucha massacre in the spring and reiterated his call for an international tribunal to hold Russia accountable for all the crimes it has committed in Ukraine.

Ukraine’s Defense Ministry said at least 440 bodies had been recovered from the Izyum site.

The UN Human Rights Office said it planned to send investigators to Izyum.

White House National Security Council spokesman John Kirby called the reports “disgusting” but said they were “consistent with the kind of depravity and brutality with which Russian forces carried out this war”.

The Czech Republic, which currently holds the rotating EU presidency, has called for the creation of an international war crimes tribunal after the discovery of the new mass burial sites.

“Russia left behind mass graves of hundreds of slaughtered and tortured people in the Izyum region. In the 21st century, such attacks on the civilian population are unthinkable and heinous,” said Czech Foreign Minister Jan Lipavsky. said on Twitter.

“We must not ignore it. We stand for the punishment of all war criminals,” he added.

Moscow has not commented on the mass burial site at Izyum, which was a Russian frontline stronghold before Ukraine’s counteroffensive forced its forces to flee.

Reacting to the reports, US Army General Mark Milley, chairman of the Joint Chiefs of Staff, said war crimes in Ukraine could not be hidden.

“Compared to the full scale [of potential war crimes], I do not know. But I would tell you that the world will find out. War crimes cannot be hidden, especially things like mass graves,” Milley told reporters traveling with him after arriving in Estonia for a NATO rally.

Milley praised the Ukrainian military for seizing Russia’s “strategic initiative” – suggesting Ukraine had momentum in the war.

When asked if Ukraine would be able to take back all of its territory, Milley said: “The offensives are in their early stages. We’re probably only looking at about two weeks until now. So I think we’ll have to wait and see how the fights develop.

Elsewhere, the UN’s atomic watchdog said the Russian-occupied Zaporizhzhya nuclear power plant had been reconnected to Ukraine’s national grid after repairing one of its four power lines.

The plant had been completely shut down a week ago amid heavy fighting in the area, raising fears of a possible radioactive disaster. Russia took control of the plant, but it is still operated by Ukrainian personnel.

Near the city of Zaporizhzhya, which is still under Ukrainian control, the Vatican reported that the papal envoy, Cardinal Konrad Krajewski, had come under small arms fire while delivering humanitarian aid on behalf of the Pope Francis. No one was injured and it is not known where the shots came from.

The cardinal must go to Kharkiv after going to Odessa.

WATCH: The speed and effectiveness of Ukraine’s counter-offensive in the northeast region of Kharkiv came as a stunning surprise to the Russian military. Ukraine has gone to great lengths to keep its counter-offensive secret, including deliberately misleading Russian forces about its military maneuvers. RFE/RL spoke to some of the soldiers involved, who described their tactics.

Meanwhile, Russian news agency TASS quoted local authorities in Russia’s Belgorod region as saying Ukrainian shelling across the border killed one person in the area. The report could not be independently verified.

Ukrainian authorities say Russian forces used the border region to fire missiles at Kharkiv, Ukraine’s second-largest city.

In a September 17 Twitter update, British military intelligence said Ukraine continued offensive operations in the northeast of the country as Russian forces established a defensive line between the Oskil River and the town of Svatove. .

“Russia probably considers maintaining control of this area important because it passes through one of the few major supply routes that Russia still controls from the Belgorod region of Russia,” the Defense Ministry said. on Twitter.

“Russia will likely attempt to mount a stubborn defense of this area, but it is unclear whether Russian frontline forces have sufficient reserves or adequate morale to withstand another concerted Ukrainian assault,” he said. he adds.

FORT LAUDERDALE, FLORIDA, USA, Sept. 13, 2022 /EINPresswire.com/ — Patrick Zarrelli has launched a cutting-edge new website design for SFL Media while developing a sophisticated business model that was pioneered by Jeff Bezos and the Washington Post.

Unlike other media sites, SFL Media is not ad-supported. When you check almost any media or news website, they are riddled with ads that provide a mediocre reading experience at best. While making the company accountable to its advertisers for its revenue. Some modern news websites have full paywalls that only allow members to read today’s news. At SFL Media, we power and fund our online news division by selling our technology services to other businesses in need of high-end technical support and digital marketing. As such, our news division is funded by technology, much like the Washington Post is funded by Amazon sales.

SFL Media’s website isn’t hampered by the nasty collage of ads typical of other media sites because it’s fully funded by its technology services. By making money from selling technology services such as web design, web development, website security, social media management, etc. SFL Media is independently funded, which means it doesn’t need any intrusive ads or paywalls at all. This also means that all of their news is completely free to online readers and always will be! This tech-funded news model makes more sense and works better in the modern media ecosphere than selling useless banner ads behind a paywall.

By creating a media powerhouse that doesn’t depend on banner ads to make money, Patrick Zarrelli has built a modern masterpiece of a media site that reports news without cluttering its posts with ads or blocking new ones. potential readers with a paywall. With its unique variety of services, SFL Media is completely independent of any advertiser, as its technology services cover the costs of the news division while making the business ultra profitable. One of those major revenue drivers is the website management plans that SFL Media’s technology team sells to other companies. In these website management plans, SFL Media takes care of the corporate website, social media, technology, and online advertisements. So that the business owner can focus on what they do best, running their business!

It’s time for a new kind of media site, it’s time for sustainable free online news, and that time has come with Zarrelli’s new business model of news funded by technology services. SFL Media is the harbinger of a newer, more modern model for media sites across the country. It also represents a new model for how news can be reported in the digital age, while remaining profitable, without depending on advertisements to stay afloat. This new paradigm also benefits SFL Media’s sales team, as technology services are easy to sell and produce better, more sustainable customers than advertising sales.

In summary, Patrick Zarrelli’s incredible business acumen and progressive foresight led to the creation of one of the most groundbreaking media companies in existence today. This company is called SFL.Media and it’s an “internet genius for hire” with a huge free news division, instead of a marketing department. Because when you write the news, you don’t have to buy ads from other news companies! Asked about his modern business model for SFL Media. Zarrelli said, “Going forward, all news agencies will be organized this way. I’m just the first person to put it on paper.”

During key moments in the Asian Cup tournament which ended on Sunday, the image of Yuvraj Singh – dressed in white, clenching his fists, smiling broadly and holding a bat – flashed across the screens.

The former Indian cricketer was, on paper, promoting a “professional sports blog”, 1xBet. In reality, however, 1xBet is a controversial offshore betting website.

The online bookmaker, banned in several countries including Russia, where it was founded, was blacklisted in 2019 by the UK Gambling Commission following a Sunday Times investigation which found that the “1xBet brand had been used to promote betting on children’s sports, cockfighting and a ‘pornhub’ casino with bare-breasted women dealing the cards.” The blacklist had also led to top football clubs competing at English Premier League clubs to end their sponsorship deals.

Additionally, in June this year, Norwegian football magazine Josimar reported that 1xBet, one of football’s biggest sponsors, had been “declared bankrupt on the Caribbean island of Curacao, where the company has a license that allows it to offer betting worldwide”. .

Today, the same platform is trying to establish itself in India. Operating under the banner of a “professional sports blog” to circumvent the rules, he launched a marketing blitz that Indian regulators say could be in “potential violation” of the country’s laws.

And it’s not just 1xBet. Another betting site, FairPlay, also went into publicity overdrive during the Asian Cup and the US Open, with the aim of attracting new customers.

Since gambling and betting are illegal in India, these platforms have created sports news websites, which offer match predictions and tips, to help them with surrogate advertising. Yuvraj is one of 1xBet’s sports blog ambassadors, while actor Ranbir Kapoor and boxer Mary Kom, among others, endorse FairPlay’s news portal.

The government’s draft guidelines on misleading advertisements under the Consumer Protection Act prohibit businesses from engaging in surrogate advertising. “Advertisements for goods or services the advertising of which is otherwise prohibited or restricted by law must not circumvent these restrictions by purporting to be advertisements for other goods or services, the advertising of which is not prohibited or restricted by law,” states the draft guidelines published in August 2020.

In June this year, the Ministry of Information and Broadcasting issued a notice to print, electronic and digital media to refrain from advertising online betting platforms.

“The online betting advertisements are misleading and do not appear to be in strict compliance with the Consumer Protection Act 2019, the Advertising Code under the Cable Television Networks Regulation Act 1995 and advertising standards under the standards of journalistic conduct established by the Press Council of India under the Press Council Act, 1978,” the ministry had said in a statement.

Manisha Kapoor, CEO and Secretary General of the Advertising Standards Council of India (ASCI) told The Indian Express that this is a matter that “the judiciary and the states need to consider”.

“The advertisements mentioned are in potential violation of Indian Government law rather than the ASCI code. This is a matter which the judiciary and the States must consider in the interest of consumer protection and which goes beyond the jurisdiction of ASCI,” Kapoor said. “That said, we support the government at all times in monitoring these advertisements when requested.

Yet the problem continues to go unchecked. Over the past few years, particularly during and after the pandemic, betting companies – through direct or surrogate means – have openly and increasingly advertised on major streaming services, including Hotstar and SonyLIV, when live sporting events, including cricket matches.

When contacted, Hotstar, SonyLIV, Board of Control for Cricket in India, Yuvraj Singh and 1xBet did not respond. FairPlay could not be reached for comment.

To place bets on these offshore websites, users must first create an account by sharing their personal details. In the case of 1xBet, the text message for the one-time password required to register is delivered in Russian. Once logged in, users can place bets on domestic and international matches in sports ranging from cricket, kabaddi, volleyball, football, table tennis, basketball, and tennis among others.

The website offers several payment options for users based outside India, including e-wallets, cryptocurrencies, bank transfers, and bank cards. Curiously, during UPI transfers, instead of making the payment directly to 1xBet, the registered ID belongs to an individual and it changes regularly. Users are given a unique referral code to validate transactions and money is deposited into the betting account through a third party within an hour, rather than instantly.

Moreover, these websites – registered in tax havens like Curacao and Cyprus – place the responsibility on the user to determine the legality of online betting. “When opening an account and/or using our website, you must ensure that your actions are legal in the territory in which you reside. You also warrant and agree that you have received advice before registering on our website,” said the terms and conditions published on 1xBet, adding that it is illegal in countries like “the United States, the United Kingdom, Cyprus, the Netherlands, etc. .”

All of these countries have banned 1xBet, founded in Russia in 2007, for violating their betting and gambling laws. According to Spanish daily AS, the company has also been fined in countries including Kenya, Poland, Israel and the Netherlands.

The company, however, continues to sponsor two of football’s biggest clubs – Barcelona and Paris Saint-Germain. However, it is not legally accessible in Spain and France.

In India, 1xBet and FairPlay are the latest in a series of betting companies flooding the illegal market. Besides advertising on TV and streaming sites, several offshore websites such as Dafabet and Parimatch have sponsorship deals, through surrogate means, with teams that play in the domestic leagues in sports like cricket, football and kabaddi.

Unfortunately, common mistakes abound on church websites, but we are called to do better! Let’s fix these errors online so that our audience finds solutions and discovers what they need on our websites.

Many people today prefer to get information from a website. They don’t want to carry a printed newsletter around with them, or they can’t remember where they put it. They want to find information and details when they are ready. They want a reliable source to find “everything” easily.

Your church website should be this place.

Let’s fix these common website mistakes, so the congregation and community will love your website:

Common error on site 1: No location or service time on your homepage. People visiting your website need to know where you are quickly! Google also wants to associate your website with searches for churches in your city. When your community decides to visit, they will need “core” service hours. SIMPLE FIX: Add this information as high up on your homepage as possible. Make the location a link to get directions and time of service can also be a link to get more details a visitor needs to know.

Common error on site 2: No email address or photos on a team page. Members wonder who is in charge of ministries when they need to contact them with a concern or request. Your community also likes this team page to see if it will fit into your church from the photos. They seek to see people who look like them (gender, diversity, age, etc.). SIMPLE FIX: Add a team (or staff) page in the “About” menu. Make sure each person has an equally cropped image (friendly, head/shoulders), dressed as you expect a visitor to wear. Be clear about what each is responsible for and have an easy way to contact them (phone or email).

Common Website Error 3: Incorrect title tags on each page. Google wants to deliver search results to your internal pages, but often doesn’t know what the page is about from your title. SIMPLE FIX: Write page titles appropriate to the content of the page and make sure that is what would be searched on Google to find the information. For example: use “Kids Activities” instead of a brand name like “Awana”. PRO TIP: Place your keyword-rich title at the top of your page (with typing, not just a graphic) and mark it as an H1 title (usually the largest title style) in your content management area. Make sure it’s the only H1 tag on the page, then use those exact title words in the first sentence of the first paragraph as well. Keep using those same words 2 or 3 times on the page. Google will love your content!

Common Website Error 4: Not enough links on each page. When someone comes to your page for information, they subconsciously ask “now what?” but often have to figure out the next steps on their own. It’s frustrating. SIMPLE FIX: Provide 2 or 3 links on each page that connect to other information on your website. At the bottom, think about their likely next step and suggest a link to it. For example: if someone is on the “Children’s Activities” page, they will probably want a link to the “Child Safety Procedures” page. Bonus: Having a link allows access to information without taking up space on the page.

Employment scam in TPSC, irregularity in appointment of principal in public colleges

Agartala, September 8, 2022

The Tripura Public Service Commission (TPSC) has been accused of widespread and unprecedented corruption in the recruitment of principals for 21 colleges. all paper submissions from eligible candidates for these senior positions. But in a short time, the number of people capable of invisible magic increased to 14. Some TPSC officials and powerful political circles eventually forced some ineligible jobseekers to get jobs.

It has already aroused a lot of anger and surprise in the circles concerned. According to a reliable source, 14 associate professors have been declared “eligible” for the post of director, allegedly on the recommendation of the ruling party leaders. But initially, with the exception of three people, all the names were written on the results sheet and next to the serial number, the words “not eligible” were written. It may be mentioned here that the women’s college is the only one among the university colleges in the state to have a designated principal. According to informed sources, this is the worst TPSC scam after the dark chapter that tainted the recruitment of TCS/TPS agents in 1998.

It is reported that for the recruitment of government graduate school principals, TPSC received only 20 applications based on notification number 9/2022 on March 31 this year. After review, only three qualified for the interview. In practice, TPSC authorities took a 180-degree turn and declared fourteen people eligible without following UGC standards.

The TPSC board was forced to ignore all the rules and call the remaining fourteen for an interview out of the twenty candidates. For this, on September 6, a new list was published in the name of fourteen candidates eligible for an interview. We tried to get the statement from TPSC President Alind Rastogi, retired IFS, and Secretary Nirmal Adhikari, TCS 1998, but no one picked up the phone.

Leader Publications updated the look of their website.

The revamped site, myleaderpaper.com, has a cleaner, more modern look and is easier for readers to navigate.

“We are proud of the look of our redesigned website and believe readers will appreciate the new look and find it easier to locate stories that interest them,” Chief said editor Peggy Scott.

The revamped site, which went live Aug. 10, is updated daily with stories about what’s happening around Jefferson County and Eureka. This includes stories of accidents, crimes, sports and much more.

Readers will always find stories about area residents and information about upcoming events and activities in the county.

The Chief also posts obituaries of local residents on its website on an almost daily basis.

The website also features news about businesses, schools and other organizations in the area.

Chief Food columnist Kathleen Brotherton writes a My Leader Yummy column, complete with a recipe or two, for the website each week, and journalist Kevin Carbery writes a weekly Pet Spot feature and a set of five trivia questions called Trivia Two Ways for the website.

John Winkelman’s Outdoors column is published weekly on the website, as is sportswriter Russell Korando’s Athlete of the Week column.

“Along with our print editions, the Chief strives to keep everyone informed through our website,” Scott said.

The Chief publishes three weeklies – the Imperial Chief Arnoldthe West Side Leader and the Chief of Jefferson County, which covers the southern part of the county. The Chief also publish the Chief Eureka every two weeks.

The redesigned website makes it easier to find the electronic editions of each of these journals, with a clickable button in the upper left corner of the homepage.

Readers can also find the leader’s Facebook, Twitter, YouTube and Instagram pages by clicking on the icons at the top right of the page.

“There’s something for everyone in our print editions and on the website,” Scott said. “We hope everyone will continue to enjoy the Chief delivered free to their home or workplace, while finding our website a great complement to the newspaper and a way to stay informed.
