East Midlands Railway app upgrades make it easier to buy tickets
Major upgrades to East Midlands Railway’s web and app ticketing systems now mean that booking tickets online is now even easier.
The new East Midlands Railway app, developed in partnership with Trainline, allows customers to buy season tickets without being redirected to the website.
The app is available on the Google Play Store or the Apple App Store and helps reduce paper waste.
There is a barcode option which allows customers to purchase and store their weekly pass as a barcode on their phone instead of having a physical copy.
Other app upgrades include a price calendar giving customers more ticket choices as well as a QuickBuy feature, which speeds up options for customers who already know which ticket they want to buy.
Customers should gain flexibility when using the app, and also have more control over their own account.
Neil Grabham, Director of Customer Services for East Midlands Railway, said: “These new features will give our customers an easier and more convenient way to buy tickets, providing a faster and smoother booking experience.
