IIT Bombay will organize JEE Advanced 2022; Website launch

Advanced JEE 2022: The Indian Institute of Technology (IIT), Bombay will conduct the Joint Entrance Examination (JEE) Advanced this year. The JEE Advanced 2022 website – jeeadv.ac.in – has been launched. Entrance examination is for admission to IITs, Indian Institute of Science (IISc) and some other institutions.

Only top 2.5 lakh applicants who qualify for JEE Main can appear for JEE Advanced. Since last year, the NTA has started holding the JEE Main qualifying test four times a year.

The dates for JEE Main 2022 and JEE Advanced 2022 have not yet been announced. While JEE Main Exam information will be available on National Testing Agency (NTA) websites jeemain.nta.ac.in and nta.ac.in, JEE Advanced details will be announced by IIT Bombay on jeeadv.ac. in.

Another chance to take JEE Advanced

A notification on the JEE Advanced website indicates that candidates who were eligible and applied for the exam last year but were unable to take it will have another chance to take it in 2022. a one-time measure taken in view of the COVID-19 situation.

“Candidates who first appeared for Class 12 (or equivalent) exam in 2020 OR 2021 AND successfully registered for JEE (Advanced) 2021 but were absent from BOTH exams i.e. , Paper 1 and Paper 2, of JEE (Advanced) 2021, are eligible to sit directly for JEE (Advanced) 2022 and do not need to fulfill criteria 1 to 4. However, they must successfully register for the JEE (Advanced) 2022 on the online registration portal and pay the registration fee.In addition, these candidates would be considered in addition to and not part of the total number of candidates who would qualify for JEE (Main) 2022 for appear in JEE (Advanced) 2022,” he said.
