Italy simplifies red tape with new Anagrafe website

Italy has put a range of bureaucratic documents online, from residency papers to marriage certificates, eliminating the need to visit common offices in person.

Since November 15, the new Anagrafe website has allowed people residing in Italy to download various official documents free of charge, without having to pay for it. marca da bollo tax stamp.

Thanks to the new online platform, it is possible to access essential documents from home, with access granted via your SPID credentials (Italian digital identity system for public administration) or your electronic identity card (Electronic identity card).

A total of 14 certificates are available for download, whether for yourself or a member of your family, including birth, marriage, residence and citizenship.

Other documents include family status documents, Esistenza in vita cert, cohabitation agreements and civil status certificates, all available in multilingual versions.

President Mattarella uses the Anagrafe site

The first person to use the new online system, accessible to both citizens living in Italy and those residing abroad, was Italian President Sergio Mattarella.

The Italian Minister of Technological Innovation and Digital Transition, Vittorio Colao, hailed the Anagrafe portal as “the first in a series of technological innovations that the public administration will implement to improve the lives of everyone”.
