The program is led by Mobile Breakthrough, a leading independent market intelligence organization that recognizes the best companies, technologies and products in today’s global wireless and mobile marketplace.

The Umo platform has been designed to meet the needs of all public transport users, including those who do not have a smartphone and those users who still prefer to use paper tickets and other transport tickets. Umo allows passengers to pay for transport using their preferred method, including contactless smart cards, a mobile application, paper tokens (with QR codes); even student or employee ID cards can be used as passes for passengers.
